In the Latest events, The Uk has been agreed to a US request in which US request for the help from UK to allow them to use their bases in the latest Israel-US and Iran war conflict. The request was made by US government on 28 February 2026. In which they asked the UK for permission to use British bases for defensive operations and attack on Iran.

On the 1 March 2026, UK Prime Minister Si Keir Starner says that the UK has learned from their past mistakes and they all remember the mistakes of Iraq, and they have learned from it.
That the Britain was not involved in the initial strikes on Iran and they will not join the offensive action against Iran. They are out of it but allow the helping hand as letting their base being used by the US Army.

The reports says US will be using RAF Fairford which is the royal air force station situated in England which in previous times are also used by US Air force.

The second is Diego Gracia which is the remote UK-controlled island situated in the Indian Ocean. It is hosts as a major US-UK military facility.

The UK will not join any offensive action action against the Iran. But UK has allowed US to use there bases for the limited defensive purpose. Right now, The UK is not joining any war action just allowing as a help to US to use there base for limited purposes. Allowing limited defensive support for US.

Shortly, After the announcement, a British RAF base in Cyprus was hit by the drone. Cyprus hosts the important UK military facilities. In this drone strike, there was no casualities in this sad event. The investigation is still going on to find out to determine who launched the drone attack on cyprus base.

In the overall, President Trump said that publicly criticised starmer for delaying and not fully supporting the US offensive plans. He also says that Britain are too slow and hesitant. There are thousands of British citizens in counteries where they are hit by Iranian attacks, the government say that our priority is protect the british citizens and they will potentially evacuate them.
