The Wellcome Genome Campus is the world’s top scientific research hub in the United Kingdom which mainly focus on the Genetics, Bioinformatics which includes data and biology. The section of this lab also research and advancement in health and disease research. It is a lab in which the top most scientists research and study on DNA,disease and human health by using the futuristic technology and data science.
The work is already in form to make it more bigger. I mean to expand a science park to make it quite larger approximately two and a half times larger than its current area.
If we have to be exact it is located in Hinxton, on the southern corner of Cambridgeshire. It is about to grow to about 440 acres which also include the new laboratories, homes and facilities for the researchers and staff.
There are present more than one genomics companies who are eager to work on DNA and its properties. The impact health outcomes which also includes the machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
The Wellcome Genome Campus is the top most genomics research centers in the world. It played an important role in Human Genome Project which includes the mapping human DNA. It also gave us the institutes like

- European Bioinformatics Institute
In the list of the one of the biggest achievements the top one is about the one-third of the human genome was sequenced here.
The expansion permission was allowed to campus from Cambridgeshire District Council in 2020 which includes two new research buildings and about 1500 homes. In the first phase of expansion it includes new laboratories, 83 homes for campus workers, two bridges and a localised energy system.
For the health concerns, there would be the new health and fitness club with food and drink venues. For entertainment purposes we have the padel courts and playgrounds for the usage of all staff members which includes local people.
On the completion of it which is funded by Wellcome Trust the 3000 to 9000 people shall be working for its completion.
