Yesterday, a horrible mass shooting incident was reported in the U.S. state of Louisiana. A 31-year-old man shamar elkins shot a total of ten people, including eight children and two women.
Police said the shooting began early in the morning when neighbors heard gunshots. The suspect opened fire inside a house and attacked the victims. After the shooting, he fled the scene in a stolen car. Police later chased and shot him.
Two adult women, including the children’s mother, suffered serious injuries. Authorities took them to the hospital for treatment.
Police identified seven of the children as the suspect’s own. Authorities believe family problems may have played a role in the mass shooting. Reportedly, the shooter’s name is Shamar Elkins.
Local officials called the incident one of the worst tragedies in Louisiana. Police said they are continuing to investigate the reason behind the shooting.
